Donating to LWC

The Lexington Woman’s Club is a charitable organization with a mission of providing new clothing to over 1,000 underprivileged Fayette County school children annually. The club also provides a scholarship to a non-traditional Fayette County female college student each year. The club relies upon donations from community friends and businesses. There are several ways you can donate to these worthy causes:

Clothe A Child

It takes about $50 to clothe one child with the new clothing the club provides. You can make a monetary donation to our Clothe A Child program. If you would like to donate to our Clothe A Child program, please email Ms. Barbara Thomas, Clothe A Child Program Chair, at bsthomas55@gmail.com.

Clothing Center

In addition to new clothing, the club also provides gently worn clothing to children. If you would like to donate gently worn clothes for school children kindergarten through 5th grade, please contact the Clothing Center Chair: Ms. Karen Smith at 859-351-5930 or ksmith8447@aol.com

Bids for Kids

Bids for Kids is our major fundraiser. If you would like to donate new items for our Silent Auction (minimum retail value of $50) or our Live Auction, purchase an advertisement in our program, be a vendor at our event, or sponsor a table at the luncheon/style show, please contact Kate Hook at 859-391-4747 or khook2011@twc.com.

All donations are tax deductible and you will be provided a receipt by LWC.

For all other questions or information, please contact Kate Hook at 859-391-4747 or khook2011@twc.com.
