Bids for Kids Brunch and Silent Auction

The annual Bids for Kids Brunch and Silent Auction has provided funds to operate the LWC Clothing Center, Scholarship Program, and other Charitable Projects. Bids for Kids began in 1994 and prospered over the years to become our greatest fundraising success. The event was held in the Spring of each year and consisted of a luncheon, style show, bake sale, live and silent auctions, vendor tables—lots of shopping and chances to win beautiful items donated by local businesses.

The Follies, which began in 1952 and continued until 1990, preceded the Bids for Kids as the club’s major fundraiser. As we continue to change with the times, Bids for Kids was replaced in 2019 by The Garden Party as LWC’s major fundraiser. Then 2022 brought another change of title – Bids for Kids Brunch and Silent Auction.
