Clothe-a-Child

Clothe-A-Child was established in the late 1980’s by member, Nan Beanland. In order to be able to dress more children, Nan developed this solicitation letter to be sent to individuals and community businesses.

Nan, along with a small committee, worked out the cost of dressing one child. After this was determined, the letter was written and has been revised over the last 30+ years to reflect today’s needs. The cost of $50 has not changed and many children have benefited from Nan’s idea. However, this year in order to keep up with demand and rising prices we had to increase Clothe-a-Child to $75. The funds are used exclusively for the purchase of new clothing.
